Potential pitfalls for mentors
- Playing favorites, or practicing non-uniform enforcement of lab expectations/policies
- Scheduling lab outings or constructing lab meetings that are not inclusive of certain group members.
- Not addressing bad behavior when there are clear, visible consequences.
- Delegating secretarial or organizational to women.
