Joshua Stone
Academic Administrator, CSB and Microbiology Programs
Joshua Stone administers the Computational Systems Biology and the Microbiology degree programs, and provides support to faculty, teaching assistants, students, and staff to ensure these two interdepartmental programs run smoothly.
As the Academic Administrator for the Computational Systems Biology (CSB) and the Microbiology PhD degree programs, he ensures both operate smoothly and efficiently in a manner consistent with program and institute policies, NIH training grant requirements, and program goals. Joshua is heavily involved in recruitment and admissions for these two interdisciplinary programs (which total roughly 80 students per year), and he helps students navigate MIT’s resources and ensures they meet all program requirements. He also administers the T32 NIH Training Grant that CSB holds, and coordinates spending for both programs. In 2022, he earned the School of Science Infinite Mile Award.
