Lauren Anderson oversees human resources in the Department of Biology, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthening the department’s culture in alignment with its mission and values
Lauren brings over a decade of experience leading strategic HR operations across both industry and premier research institutions. She has developed broad expertise in employee relations, performance management, organizational development, and talent acquisition. Committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive workplace, Lauren drives initiatives that enhance employee engagement and strengthen the department’s culture in alignment with its mission and values. Prior to joining the Department of Biology, Lauren served in HR leadership roles at The Picower Institute for Learning and Memory, MIT Health, and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory.
She holds a Master of Arts in Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Management from Bridgewater State University. Lauren is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through HRCI and as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
